Cancellation of August Full Moon events 2021

We would like to inform you for the cancellation of the events planned by EFADA for the Full Moon of August in the framework of the annual institution of the Ministry of Culture, on Sunday, August 22, 2021, at the "Tomb of Sophocles" in Varybombi of the Municipality of Acharnes and the Monastery of Acharnes. The reason is the extension of the existing measures to prohibit traffic, transit or stay in forests, national parks, Natura areas and groves, in order to avoid fires (Government Gazette 138/A/5-8-2021). It is pointed out that the "Tomb of Sophocles" is located in the wooded area of ​​Varybombi that was affected by the recent fire, but fortunately the monument remained intact, and the Monastery of Daphni in the forest of Mount Poikilos.
